A statement of technical and aesthetic refinement
The visual concept of the Turkey Edition emphasises the timepiece’s sleek, purposeful lines.
The inner bezel ring was ingeniously designed to indicate both a 60-second scale and a tachymeter scale for measuring speed over a set distance. It frames a main plate in woven carbon fibre that serves as a contrasting backdrop to the two smoked sapphire counters and the red-accented hands. Hours and minutes are shown on an off-centre subdial at 6 o'clock, finished in white and red with a polished surface and encircled by a black nickel ring.
The 40.7-millimetre case is crafted from grade 5 titanium, then polished and satin-brushed. At a mere 18 grams, Turkey Edition minimizes weight for maximum comfort on the wrist. Its lines are fluid and dynamic and harmoniously integrate the crown guard support. The openworked lugs are elegantly satin brushed. Their subtle camber naturally extends the case to integrate the rubber strap.
A powerful mechanism
Of the many complications known to horology, the chronograph is deemed one of the most practical and engaging. In the Turkey Edition, its architecture is clearly visible on the dial side. Ther calibre in fact separates the chronograph module from the 164 components of the automatic base movement, which is revealed through the sapphire crystal on the case back. It is wound by an oscillating weight that is carefully openworked to reveal the workings of the calibre.
Inventor of the chronograph
The contemporary character of the Turkey Edition subtly connects with the rich legacy of Louis Moinet, inventor of the world's first chronograph.
This limited edition of 50 pieces, engraved One of 50, expresses a modern vision of this founding heritage: a spectacular mechanism conceived to be admired as much as it is worn.
