Exceptional pieces from Louis Moinet’s private collection

“To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the MEMORIS, I have chosen to open the safe where our most secret creations are kept. Nineteen unique timepieces born of our many aesthetic explorations are being revealed for the very first time. This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a rare watch that truly embodies the lively creativity of Les Ateliers Louis Moinet.”

Memoris Type
Each one exhibits an exclusive composition of colours, materials and textures.
Some dials are made from extraordinary materials, like a rare meteorite from Mars. Others reveal Earth’s beautiful stones in their purest form: deep-blue lapis lazuli, streaked green malachite, an opal with changing hues, intense onyx or mysteriously elegant black jade. Still others have been given a glossy lacquer finishing or display the graphic stylishness of a concentric clou de Paris motif. Some more technical models are clad in anodised titanium surrounding a two-toned blue and black dial.
The mainplate of these timepieces is also used as a canvas for visual expression. It might feature the interplay play of chromatic contrasts, special luminescent treatments that come alive in the dark, or even precious materials – such as Murano aventurine glass with its celestial reflections. It’s the place where specialised craftsmen can reveal their artistry as well, like miniature painting inspired by gold embroidery.
The hands have a strong character and engage in a subtle dialogue with the dials. They come in bright, daring colours – red, green, orange, yellow – or play it cool in black or grey. The leather straps complete the composition with refined shades and carefully chosen stitching.
Each embodies a vision, an emotion, an idea transformed into a work of watchmaking. Together, they form a confidential collection, designed for collectors in search of rare timepieces.
The Memoris calibre
A tribute to the genius of Louis Moinet
The MEMORIS calibre pays tribute to Louis Moinet’s 1816 invention of the chronograph.

Its architecture places the chronograph in the foreground. It is no longer just an additional complication, but rather the aesthetic and technical centrepiece of the watch. Visible on the dial side, the chronograph mechanism performs a veritable mechanical spectacle precisely orchestrated by the column wheel. This exceptional calibre highlights the visionary heritage of the great watchmaker, in a resolutely avant-garde spirit.

An emblematic case in 18-carat white gold
The MEMORIS ORIGINAL timepieces are housed inside an emblematic 46-millimeter, 18-carat white-gold case especially designed to give the movement a worthy frame. It is made up of sixty parts that are meticulously assembled to obtain an aesthetically striking effect: a streamlined bezel held in place by six screws, horns adorned with screw-mounted chatons, and a crown engraved with the fleur de lys. The alternating polished and satin-brushed finishings highlight the cases’ many details and enhance their assertive character.
