1816 is one of the key dates in watchmaking history. It was the year in which Louis Moinet, the great watchmaker, completed the world’s first chronograph.

To celebrate the 210th anniversary of this invention, a new edition of the 1816 CHRONOGRAPH has been unveiled. It comes in a warm champagne hue that accentuates the dial’s complex construction and its different levels. It reappears on the middle links of the bracelet, underscoring their shape and structure.

In another nod to the original piece, the chronograph hour totaliser chapter makes use of Roman numerals.
