Amber, a new colour signature

Louis Moinet has unveiled the TEMPOGRAPH SPIRIT AMBER timepiece, a limited edition of twelve pieces in which the colour amber goes beyond being a mere aesthetic choice. With its rich, sunny hue exuding vegetal warmth, it creates an attractive structure for reading time by drawing attention to the important points on the timepiece: the hour subdial, the twenty-second retrograde segment, and the small seconds counter, all of which are framed by a matching peripheral flange.

This original chromatic signature also reminds one of the subtle tensions between the fixed past and the passage of time. Amber, which is fossilised resin, or sap frozen in time, symbolises a profound link between matter and memory, while the retrograde complication recalls the importance of each second.

It’s a visual dialogue, with colour guiding the eye… and redefining time.
