Memoris Original Type 1–19

19 unique timepieces – and almost all already reserved

To mark the tenth anniversary of the MEMORIS caliber, Jean-Marie Schaller has opened the vault of his private collection, where the most confidential Louis Moinet creations have quietly rested. Nineteen one-of-a-kind watches, numbered Type 1 to Type 19, were created over the years and kept away from the public eye. They have now been revealed.

Each piece is the result of a bold, exploratory creative process. The dial, mainplate, and hands have been deployed as a canvas for expression: Martian meteorites, extraordinary minerals like lapis lazuli, opal, or black jade, clous-de-Paris patterns, luminescent treatments, or artisanal techniques such as miniature painting. Each of these timepieces is perfectly unique.

What they share in common is their beating heart: the MEMORIS calibre, which was specially designed to showcase the chronograph on the dial side. The visible, dynamic mechanism, brought to life by its column wheel, pays tribute to the world’s first chronograph, invented in 1816 by Louis Moinet.

Within days, most of these pieces were already spoken for. A few are still available – but not for long.
