Limited Edition of 12 piecesCONTACT
Jurassic Tourbillon sees the worlds of horology and palaeontology come together to produce a stunning timepiece with a uniquely radiant dial made of authentic fossilised dinosaur bone.
This bone was found in western North America and is believed to be 150 million years old, deriving from a herbivorous species such as the diplodocus, a common sauropod during the late Jurassic Period.
The dinosaur bone has been delicately cut and meticulously crafted by hand to preserve its truly exceptional russet colour and veining that throw into sharp relief the central hour and minute hands, hour markers, tourbillon at 6 o’clock and visible main spring at 12 o’clock.
The dinosaur bone dial is spectacularly complemented by the bezel and lugs which are set with 56 scintillating Top Wesselton VVS baguette diamonds that total 3.46 carats.
Turning over Jurassic Tourbillon reveals the ‘octopus spring’ of the winding and setting mechanism through the display-back, effectively three springs in one – pull-out piece spring, lever spring and click spring.
This remarkable timepiece is completed by a wonderfully distinctive strap made of genuine stingray.
The first Jurassic Tourbillon – part a limited edition of 12 pieces – was showcased through one of the nine portals of Louis Moinet’s Time Explorator.
Jurassic Tourbillon is a stunning timepiece with a uniquely radiant dial made of authentic fossilised dinosaur bone. It is available in a limited edition of 12 pieces.
